ALL BERLIN JOHANNESBURG DELHI SAO PAULO TEL AVIV

Tel Aviv

What is lost, is knowledge. What is left, is a hole in our minds. It is, basically, still the old Warholian thing: From A to B (and back again). Just this time, in Tel Aviv, in 2081, it is a bit more complicated. We have to create an archive – not from nothing, but from the memories of a future that we yet have to invent. So, will you join us there?
We will present what we have so far: An opera, performed in Munich, the archive that the architect Sam Chermayeff (title hero of the winter 11/12 032c issue) will create at the 2081 Berlin Congress in March, things he collected, mapped in time with a story to it. All the talks of the Congress, the performances, the walk. This archive should be an archive of archiving.
From Jorges Luis Borges to Arnold Dreyblatt, Christian Poltanski to Alain Resnais’ Toute la memoire du monde. But fragmented, lost meaning, junk information. We are, basically, the archive. We are content. We are the gap. So what is left? No latch.
